New — SS26 Day pack series · 12 L / 18 L

One pack for a day on the trail.

A roll-top day pack with a packing guide that actually packs. Give it eight objects, watch it reason about space, and leave with a plan you can export.

Construction

  • Bar-tacked load seams at every strap anchor — Grit-40 thread
  • Sealed seam construction across the main cavity
  • Pale blue 70D taffeta lining so contents read in low light
  • Hypalon grab tab on the roll-top, graphite hardware
  • Stretch-woven bottle pocket with a reinforced ring bind
  • Ladder-lock shoulder straps with a removable sternum strap
Warranty — 10 years, covers stitching and hardware

How the solver thinks (simplifications)
  • Items are rigid axis-aligned boxes — the exact dimensions shown on each card. Soft goods like the jacket roll are not compressed.
  • Only the 6 axis-aligned orientations are tested (plus the bottle, which is upright-only). No tilting, no diagonal packing.
  • Candidate positions sit on a 0.5 cm grid, scanned lowest → leftmost → deepest. First fit wins, so results are deterministic but not optimal — a smarter order can fit more.
  • Capacity numbers are bounding-box volumes. A round bottle is billed as its full box (7.5 × 24 × 7.5 cm = 1.35 L), which overstates true displacement.
  • Compartment volumes are the usable cavities (12.35 L / 18.15 L), not the nominal 12 / 18 L claim.
  • When a fit fails, the solver checks whether removing one or two packed items would help — that's the suggestion you see.

SPEC 03 — COMPARTMENTS & CONSTRUCTION
EXPLODED VIEW · LABELS LIVE IN 3D
01 /

Main compartment

19.5 × 32 × 14 CM (12L) · 23 × 37 × 16 CM (18L)
Roll-top cavity in pale blue 70D taffeta. Sealed seams, taped zip track, two internal flat pockets for the field notebook and sunglasses case.

02 /

Front pocket

19 × 16 × 5.5 CM (12L) · 23 × 18 × 6 CM (18L)
Flat stash pocket sewn proud of the main cavity, #5 zip with an orange pull. Sized for a notebook, a snack pouch — not a jacket.

03 /

Bottle pocket

Ø9 × 24 CM (12L) · Ø9 × 24 CM (18L)
Stretch-woven side pocket with a reinforced ring bind and a drain hole. Takes a 7.5 cm bottle upright; nests against the main cavity without stealing its volume.
